Creative Organizational Strategy and Leadership Through a Focus on Human Capital Development
Organizations are dynamic and multifaceted, but they are driven by, arguably, their most valuable assets: employees. In a world where technology is being rapidly incorporated into organizations to promote efficiency and reduce costs, human capital investment must remain at the forefront of every organization. People themselves are dynamic and ever-changing. Organizations often get it wrong when it comes to investing in their employees and management, considering human capital and development expendable, especially during difficult times. Organizations today cannot afford to risk ignoring their human capital or not spending time understanding the complex wants and needs that drive their employees and, consequently, the organization. Through creative strategic development, focused effort, leadership development and selection, and positive psychology organizations can optimize and support their human capital to remain competitive and efficient while promoting efficacy.
Through OS, I hope to bridge the gap between creative strategic planning and human capital development, specifically identifying and developing high-potential leaders who already exist within organizations or networks and teaching those organizations to effectively leverage their existing human capital to increase efficiency and provide more value to their customers. My goal is to help organizations harness the power and potential of their executive teams, managers, and employees through a focus on human behavior by creating a company culture of efficacy and to help organizations create strategies that move them forward while still investing in their people. By focusing on courses in organizational psychology, positive psychology, managing people and strategic change, leadership in organizations, and leadership and collaboration, I will provide organizations with an effective approach to develop their human capital while reducing costs, improving efficiency, and creating a culture of efficacy with a strategic focus on their people.
