OS 2023 Graduates

Organizational Studies celebrates our graduating seniors by highlighting their outstanding accomplishments and inviting them to reflect on their OS experience.

We are excited to showcase the future plans of our graduating seniors as they embark on the next phase of their lives, utilizing the knowledge and skills they have gained through their studies in Organizational Studies. Wishing the best of luck and congratulations to all of our seniors! Please note that these are not all of our seniors, just the ones who wanted to be featured.

OS 2023 Graduates

Kayla Zhang is our OS Student Speaker for the OS 2023 Graduation Ceremony! Kayla will be graduating with a double major in Organizational Studies and Political Science. Her OS pathway is Positive Organizational Scholarship & Human Capital. During her time at Michigan, Kayla was involved with The Michigan Daily, The Michigan Journal of Political Science, SHRM, and Research. Her favorite OS memories are Weiser Work Days and building relationships with her OS friends and profs! After graduation, she is looking forward to traveling and starting fellowships at HBS and Fulbright Germany!

Skylar will be graduating with a major in Organizational Studies and completion of the Cappo Sales Track. Her OS pathway is Human Capital and Leadership. During her time at Michigan, Skylar was involved with the OS Student Leadership Team. She was also a Teacher’s Assistant for both MBA and BBA courses. Her favorite part of OS was getting to know so many new people in such a small setting. She especially loved working with her OS 410 group. After graduation, she is looking forward to traveling with friends and then moving to New York City!

Bridget will be graduating with a double major in Organizational Studies and Economics. Her OS pathway is Decision Making & Corporate Social Responsibility. During her time at Michigan, Bridget was involved with the Enactus Impact Consulting Club, Ross TA, Organizational Studies and Economics Research Assistant. “My favorite memory from senior year is living with my best friends and creating some amazing memories. I’ve also really enjoyed getting to know everyone in my OS cohort, and I can’t wait to see what they all accomplish!” After graduation, she is looking forward to a summer of traveling around Europe and the US with her friends and family!

Celia will be graduating with a major in Organizational Studies and completion of the Ross Cappo Sales Track. Her OS pathway is Sales and Marketing. During her time at Michigan, Celia was involved with SHEI Magazine and Michigan Yoga Club. Her favorite part of OS was meeting so many amazing people and making new friends. Her favorite class was OS 410 because it was fun doing research with No Thai! and working with such a great group. After graduation, she is looking forward to moving to New York City!

Dominic will be graduating with a double major in Organizational Studies and Economics. His OS pathway is Creative strategy, effective leadership, and decision analysis. During his time at Michigan, Dominic was involved with University of Michigan Men's Glee Club and Entrepreneurs Leadership Program. His favorite memories from UM and OS were beating OSU in the snow at the Big House and going to Dozer with his OS410 Project Group. After graduation, he is looking forward to traveling in the summer with friends then moving to Washington DC!

Emily’s OS pathway is Organizational Culture and Communication. Her favorite OS memories were spending time with other classmates and group project members. After graduation, she is looking forward to no more required reading.

Sophia will be graduating with a major in Organizational Studies and completion of the Cappo Sales and Marketing Track. Her OS pathway is Management/Consulting. During her time at Michigan, Sophia was a Publisher of SHEI Magazine. “My favorite memory from OS is when my 410 research team took a field trip to our client/research organization, Dozer Coffee. We got to conduct interviews with a variety of the staff members. They even made us their specialty lattes and gave us a tour of HOMES brewery!” After graduation, she is looking forward to traveling with her friends after graduation! She will be going to the South of France, Turkey, and Israel!

Ally will be graduating with a double major in Organizational Studies and Spanish, along with a minor in Applied Statistics. Her OS pathway is Technology and Nonprofits and Social Change. On campus, Ally was involved with AIESEC. Her favorite memory during her time at Michigan was studying abroad in Alicante, Spain last summer! After graduation, she is looking forward to spending time with family and then moving to NYC!

Gabrielle will be graduating with a double major in Organizational Studies and Psychology, along with a Minor in Business. Her OS pathway is improving healthcare equity through organizationally driven legal reform. During her time at Michigan, she was involved with Women in Leadership (President) and Alpha Epsilon Phi (Member). Her favorite memories from OS were the WiL events and bringing her dog, Maisie, to the OS floor in Weiser. After graduation, she is looking forward to attending Harvard Law School!

Lanie will be graduating with a major in Organizational Studies and minors in Business and German Studies. Her OS pathway is Decision-Making. During her time at Michigan, Lanie played on the University of Michigan Women's Tennis Team. One of her favorite memories from Michigan was receiving her acceptance email from OS. After graduation, she is looking forward to "adulting" life in a new city.

Holly will be graduating with a double major in Organizational Studies and Spanish. Her OS pathway is Nonprofits & Social Change. During her time at Michigan, Holly was involved with New Life Church and Maize and Blue Cupboard. Her favorite OS memories were getting to know her teammates in 410 and all of the OS events with free food. After graduation, she is looking forward to no more homework and working with Gleaners!

Lauren will be graduating with a double major in Organizational Studies and English, along with minors in Writing and American Culture. Her OS pathway is Human Capital and Leadership. During her time at Michigan, Lauren was involved with the U-M Institute for the Humanities, Backpacking Club, New England Literature Program, and a Radio DJ for WCBN. One of her favorite memories at Michigan was the big snowball fights happening all over campus after the winning the OSU game. After graduation, she is looking forward to spending the summer with friends and family then moving to Indianapolis and meeting new people!

Coby’s OS pathway is Decision Making and Technology. He will also be graduating with a Minor is Business. During his time at Michigan, Coby was involved in the TAMID Group. His favorite memory from OS was when he stumbled upon the OS booth in the diag as a junior and the seniors running the booth started pitching him OS without knowing he was in it! After graduation, he is looking forward to seeing the world (hopefully)!

Hannah will be graduating with a double major in Organizational Studies and Psychology. Her OS pathway is Human Capital and Leadership. During her time at Michigan, Hannah was involved with Michigan Fashion Media Summit and Kappa Alpha Pi. Her favorite memory at Michigan was studying abroad in Barcelona! After graduation, she is looking forward to enjoying her last summer of travel before work and moving to Chicago with her friends!

Mariah’s OS pathway is Creative Strategy Development in Organizations. She will also be graduating with a Minor in Social Class and Inequality Studies. During her time at Michigan, Mariah was involved in UM Women's Ice Hockey and Phi Beta Kappa Society. Her favorite memory from OS is the beautiful view of campus while studying in the 8th floor Weiser atrium. After graduation, she is looking forward to making a positive impact in the organizations she is involved in, big or small.

Makena’s OS pathway is Sustainability & Social Corporate Responsibility. During her time at Michigan, Makena was a U-M Adventure Leadership Trip Leader & Manager, and she was also involved with SHEI Magazine and Backpacking Club. Her favorite memory at Michigan was studying abroad in Barcelona. After graduation, she is looking forward to moving to Chicago and having the summer to travel before she starts work!

Lucy will be graduating with a double major in Organizational Studies and Women’s and Gender Studies, along with a Minor in Public Policy at Ford. Her OS pathway is Nonprofits and Social Change. During her time at Michigan, Lucy was a Features Writer for SHEI. She was also involved with the podblog for What the F and SAPAC SEAS. Her favorite memory from OS was “becoming close with my 410 group (shoutout Maddy, Mark, and Alexa) and spending our nights making Gigi Hadid pasta and playing Catan and Quiplash” After graduation, she is looking forward to embracing the unknown and engaging in meaningful, intentional rest!

Mary Ellen will be graduating with a major in Organizational Studies and minor in Business Administration. Her OS pathway is Nonprofits and Social Change & Political and Legal. During her time at Michigan, Mary Ellen was involved with Kappa Omega Alpha. Her favorite memory in OS was the OS holiday potluck (shoutout to Makena's butter board)! After graduation, she is looking forward to backpacking through Utah and traveling with friends before starting work in Chicago!!

Mark will be graduating with a double major in Organizational Studies and French & Francophone Studies. His OS pathway is Cultural Frameworks & Social Impacts of Nonprofit Organizations. During his time at Michigan, he was involved with Campus Day, BlueMUN, MUNUM, and was an RLL Research Assistant. His favorite memory from OS was getting to hang out with his OS 410 team throughout the semester while they worked on their capstone project! After graduation, he is looking forward to traveling to and living in France for a year!

Olivia will be graduating with a double major in Organizational Studies and Sociology of Health & Medicine. Her OS pathway is Healthcare & Public Health. On campus, Olivia was involved with Go Blue Wear Pink. One of her favorite memories at Michigan was game day mornings. After graduation, she is looking forward to traveling with her friends and starting a new job!

Sofia will be graduating with a major in Organizational Studies and a minor in Business. Her OS pathway is Behavioral Economics. During her time at Michigan, Sofia was involved with PSE and Club Soccer. After graduation, she is looking forward to moving to NYC!

Mia will be graduating with a major in Organizational Studies and a minor in Economics. Her OS pathway is Human Capital and Leadership. During her time at Michigan, Mia was involved with Zeta Omega Eta and Camp Kesem. After graduation, she is looking forward to traveling this summer and then moving to Chicago!

Megan’s OS pathway is Marketing and Global Orgs. She is also graduating with a Minor in Chinese and completion of the Cappo Sales Track. During her time at Michigan, Megan was a Peer Mentor for OS. After graduation, she is looking forward to traveling around Asia to visit family, then moving to New York City and trying the amazing restaurants there! Her favorite memory in OS is the OS holiday potluck this past Christmas.

Riley’s OS pathway is Law, Justice, Business, and the Environment, and he will be graduating with a minor in Food and the Environment (PitE). During his time at Michigan, Riley was an OS Peer Mentor, Michigan Housing Resident Advisor, and a Pre-law professional and public service fraternity Beta Alpha Rho. He was also involved in the Student Sustainability Coalition. One of his favorite memories in OS was participating in the OS orientations during both March 2022 and March 2023, where he got to meet a lot of cool, passionate, and brilliant people. He has also enjoyed interactions with the supportive OS staff and faculty!

Kristen’s OS pathway is Corporate Social Responsibility and she is also graduating with a Minor in Business. During her time at Michigan, Kristen was involved with Spoon University and Capital Consulting Group. After graduation, she is looking forward to moving to New York City! Her favorite memory in OS was OS410 - her research project group was so fun and they all became really good friends.

During Amelia’s time at Michigan, she was involved in the Center for Academic Innovation Student Fellowship. After graduation, she is looking forward to having more time to pursue hobbies like cooking and yoga! Her favorite UM memory is celebrating her 21st birthday at this year’s homecoming tailgate with friends and family and being surprised with an oreo birthday cake.

Ian’s OS pathway is Using Tech Innovation to Facilitate Growth in Startups. During his time at Michigan, Ian was involved with Business at Michigan and was a Buzzer Brand Ambassador. His favorite memory from OS was the Org Fair in 310. After graduation, he is looking forward to living in Chi-Town!

Megan’s OS pathway was HR and Marketing. During her time at Michigan, Megan was a Research Assistant @ Ross and an Edward Ginsberg Center tutor. Her favorite memory in OS was walking to every OS class with Jojo Rubin for 2 years. After graduation, she is looking forward to traveling with friends and family before moving to NYC!

Moira will be graduating with a major in Organizational Studies and a minor in Community Action and Social Change. Her OS pathway is Education and Nonprofits/Social Change. During her time at Michigan, Moira was involved with Camp Kesem, Public Service Internship Program, championship IM basketball team, and research through the OS and Sociology departments. Her favorite OS memory is being on the events team with Lauren and Chelsea! After graduation, she is looking forward to road-tripping with friends, spending time with family, and relaxing a bit before moving to DC for work in June.

Esther will be graduating with a major in Organizational Studies and minors in Asian Languages and Cultures and Science, Technology, & Society. Her OS pathway is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. On campus, Esther was involved with A A&PI Graduation Committee, Global Scholars Program, CSP, SuccessConnects Mentor, and Inter-Cooperative Council. Her favorite memory at Michigan was her time in the CSP Summer Bridge program! After graduation, she is looking forward to traveling and no more school!

Lauren’s OS pathway is Corporate Social Responsibility. She will also be graduating with a Minor in Business. During her time at Michigan, she was an Erb Undergraduate Fellow and both a Ross Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant. She was also involved with the Women’s Varsity Rowing Team, Propel Social Impact Consulting Club, and the OS Events Team. Her favorite memory from OS was being on the OS Events team with Moira and Chelsea. “We had so much fun planning events and catching up every week. One of the most memorable events was in collaboration with the Black Student Union. So many people came for this event (100+) and were so excited to try all the foods we catered (Jamacian Jerk pit, Blue nile, Cuppy’s!)” After graduation, she is looking forward to traveling! She is flying to Tokyo, Japan at the end of May and will be in Southeast Asia before heading to Dubai, Tanzania and then Europe in July.

Alexa’s OS pathway is Human Capital and Leadership. She will also be graduating with a Minor in Business. During her time at Michigan, she was involved with The Women’s Network, Michigan Business Group, and Barger Leadership Institute. Her favorite memory from OS was the activity fair in OS 310 Junior year! It was so fun getting to know everyone and learning about peoples interests. After graduation, she is looking forward to moving to Chicago and meeting new people, trying new restaurants, and exploring the city!

Daniel will be graduating with a major in Organizational Studies and a minor in Applied Statistics. His OS pathway is Strategy in Entertainment Organizations. During his time at Michigan, Daniel was involved with Relay For Life (American Cancer Society). His favorite memory from Michigan was studying abroad in Florence. After graduation, he is looking forward to traveling to Israel with a bunch of his friends!
