Communications Intern
About
What do you appreciate most about the Hub and why?
For any student the Hub is there to support them in anyway it can, whether that's answering academic questions, finding internships, or preparing students for interviews. Regardless of what students need, the Hub is a place where they can feel comfortable, a haven from the constant stress and pressure from peers and professors.
What did you want to be when you were a first-year in high school, and how have your goals changed shape since you came to U-M?
Coming out of high school I wanted to be a surgeon, and coming into UM I was pre-med. An LSA education has provided me the opportunities to explore my interests in journalism through a Communications degree, and I'm now looking for a way to intertwine that with my interest in Public Health.
What is it about an LSA education that you've found the most exciting or valuable?
The variety of classes offered in LSA has helped me combine two of my interests in a way I didn't know was possible. I've also received incredible support from professors and advisors in LSA who have helped me find the classes that align most with my interests.
What advice do you have for students for them to get the most out of their time in LSA and at U-M?
Take classes you're genuinely interested in and passionate about. Even if it's not in your field of interest, try it out, you never know what might click.
