About
What do you appreciate most about the Hub and why?
The LSA alum network is one of the most valuable and enduring assets at UM. I appreciate the Hub because it connects current LSA students with alums and helps students gain the real world experience that best matches their skills and interests.
What did you want to be when you were a first-year in high school, and how have your goals changed shape since you came to U-M?
When I was a first-year in high school, I wanted to work in politics. Specifically, I wanted to one day hold a major elected office. Since arriving at UM I've realized that I don't just have one career goal. I've allowed myself to explore the endless opportunities and departments the University offers so I can make the most of my time as a student. The University of Michigan offers a diverse campus and student body, enabling me to connect with a wide array of people, expand my interests, and ultimately graduate with all the skills needed to pursue my career goals.
What is it about an LSA education that you've found the most exciting or valuable?
An LSA education is about much more than just learning in the classroom; it is also about collaborating on meaningful projects with other students interested in making an impact beyond campus. LSA has offered me a diverse learning environment, which has expanded my interests to be more wide-ranging and adaptable to any challenge or job requirement.
What advice do you have for students for them to get the most out of their time in LSA and at U-M?
The resources and opportunities offered to students across campus are plentiful. Take advantage of what's out there. Explore and engage! Take risks and don't waste any time. You don't want to graduate and wish you had done more. Our time is already passing way too quickly given how much we still have to learn about ourselves and the world.
