About
What do you appreciate most about the Hub and why?
I appreciate that the Hub gives students real life experiences before they continue to their careers that they could not get in the classroom.
What did you want to be when you were a first-year in high school, and how have your goals changed shape since you came to U-M?
When I was a first-year in high school, I wanted to be a chemistry major and learn about all fields of science, but my goals have drastically changed since then. Since coming to U-M, I have changed from wanting to major in a STEM field, to wanting to major in social sciences. I was not given the opportunity to experience those fields in high school and my first year taught me that I am interested in the social sciences a lot more than I anticipated.
What is it about an LSA education that you've found the most exciting or valuable?
I find it valuable that there are so many different classes in different fields of study because this allows students to explore and have a more well rounded education.
What advice do you have for students for them to get the most out of their time in LSA and at U-M?
I would tell students to do their best in all of their classes, even if they do not think that it will be valuable to them or that it will be a class that they do not have to try in. There is always something to learn from every professor at the university, whether it concerns the course material or not.
