About
What do you appreciate most about the Hub and why?
I love that the Hub not only offers students educational support for career services, but also provides real experiences with networking, internships, and more. This is an incredibly valuable resource that really allows us to learn by doing!
What did you want to be when you were a freshman in high school, and how have your goals changed shape since you came to U-M?
Up until my senior year of high school, I was going to major in musical theatre, but thanks to my AP Psych class that changed. I realized how drawn I am to learning about people, how they think, and why people do the things that they do. Since coming to Michigan, I have really been able to explore this interest and branch out into how psychology can interact with business!
What is it about a liberal arts education that you've found the most exciting or valuable?
I value how much diversity of material and subjects is present in our liberal arts curriculum. I have been able to take classes in many different subjects that I find interesting, and I continue to be able to apply knowledge from all of these classes to my education and my everyday life.
What advice do you have for students for them to get the most out of their time in LSA and at U-M?
My best advice would be to do as much exploring as you can, whether that be exploration of majors, activities, hobbies, self, friends, etc! This is truly your time to learn as much as possible in this setting with such diverse minds and backgrounds, so use that to your advantage.
