Ecuador Experience
Jessie Hoxie | Sophomore | Cell and Molecular Biology
“I feel truly blessed that I had the opportunity to travel abroad and play a part in making a difference in the health and well-being of people on mainland Ecuador in the medical clinic and also on the environment in the Galapagos. Although I am just one person, I hope that I was able to have an impact on the people I met and the places I visited, no matter how big or small. I say this because I know that they have had an impact on me. My perspective has widened and I grew as an individual. Travel opens your eyes and teaches you to not take things or people for granted, to live in the moment, to be selfless, to interact and learn from others, to love what the world has to offer, and to find purpose and happiness. I will forever remember and value this experience.”
