Employer Connection Panel: Liberal Arts Grads in Tech

Tuesday, September 14, 2021
5:00-6:00 PM
Off Campus Location
Description:

“If we want to prepare students to solve large-scale human problems, we must push them to widen, not narrow, their education and interests.” - Scott Hartley, (JM Olejarz, Harvard Business Review, August 2017)

The LSA Opportunity Hub is teaming up with tech giants Coinbase, Google, Uber, and Venture For America to explore the advantages that a liberal arts and sciences education provides students that are making moves to break into the tech industry. During this virtual roundtable, panelists will be asked to share their take on the value of a liberal arts education, provide actionable insights on how you can speak to your LSA degree, and advise how you can share your personal story during the recruiting process. Please bring your questions to this upbeat and engaging discussion with representatives from these groundbreaking tech brands

You should attend this Employer Connection if you are:
- An LSA student interested in exploring your fit within the tech industry
- Actively pursuing or considering internships or full-time opportunities for summer 2022
- Eager to connect with LSA alums with a varied range of career paths in tech including sales, software engineering, and human resources.

What you’ll gain by attending:
- Gain perspective from a variety of tech companies that are actively recruiting LSA students
- Get an understanding of next steps in the Fall recruiting process and beyond
- Use this opportunity to share your résumé with the respective recruiting teams
