Join an Internship Program Coordinator to get advice on navigating the process of finding and applying to summer internships with the federal government. We will discuss the variety of internships available, hiring timelines for specific federal agencies, search strategies, and how to apply through USAJOBS.gov. You will also be introduced to U-M programs and resources that can support your search. This small group setting will allow time for discussion—so bring your questions!
You should attend this workshop if you are:
A liberal arts and/or sciences (LSA) student
Enrolled in a full-time courseload
A U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is 18 years of age or older
Seeking your first internship with the federal government
What you’ll gain by attending:
Learn how to effectively search for internships with the federal government
Discover the opportunities available with different agencies and the associated hiring timelines
Get tips on navigating USAJOBS.gov and the application process
Connect with U-M programs and resources to support your search
High Interaction
Video and audio presence is strongly encouraged
The event will mainly be interactive through some combination of full-group
