McCall MacBain Scholarship

Overview and Introduction

The McCall MacBain Scholarship allows Scholars to pursue a fully funded master’s at McGill University in Montréal, Québec. This program brings together a diverse group of scholars who plan to lead with purpose and have demonstrated both leadership potential and an inner drive to make a positive impact in other people’s lives.

The scholarship covers tuition and fees for the duration of the master’s or professional program, a living stipend of $2,000 per month during academic terms, and a one-time relocation grant for moving to Montréal.

McCall MacBain Scholars are asked to bring an openness and commitment to learning from one another while studying in one of the world’s greatest multicultural and multilingual cities.

Eligibility:

  • Citizenship: Open to both Canadian citizens and non-Canadian citizens.
  • Degree-Level: On track to earn bachelor's degree before the start of your McGill program, graduated less than five years ago, or will be less than 30 years old at the start of your McGill program.

Application Deadlines

  • Program Deadline: End of August for international applicants, end of September for Canadian and US citizens.
  • Endorsement: McCall MacBain requires an institutional endorsement for consideration. See instructions below to apply for U-M endorsement.
  • Finalist Interviews and Selection Notification: March

Successful applicants will have exceptional character, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, experience with community engagement, and academic strength/intellectual curiosity. For more information, see the McCall MacBain website.

Instructions for Institutional Endorsement

All applicants will submit their initial application via the McCall MacBain website. After the submission deadline, ONSF will gain access to those application materials. We will review all applicants and select the ones which we believe are the best fit with the McCall MacBain criteria to endorse for final consideration.
