COVID-19 Updates

In light of the public health concerns associated with the spread of COVID-19, the university has suspended all in-person classes as well as events and international travel until at least April 21. The president has also requested that UM staff follow CDC recommendations for social distancing in order to limit the spread of the virus in our community. As this situation is rapidly evolving, we recommend that students follow all guidelines provided by the university and follow any precautions they feel are necessary to stay safe.

To help you stay abreast of how this situation may impact scholarship and fellowship application cycles, our team will be updating this page with any news that specifically impacts our applicants. Check back often for updates, and please reach out to us with any questions.

Office Hours and Staffing

At this time we are following remote working recommendations made by President Schlissel and Dean Curzan. As a result, our physical office in Mason Hall is closed and will remain closed until university leadership gives us an all-clear to return. Though we are canceling all in-person events until that time, we invite you to join us for our upcoming virtual sessions! See below.

Our team is still available remotely during our usual business hours to hold virtual advising appointments or help with any questions or issues that arise. And, as always, our team is available via email if you prefer to reach out to us that way. 

UK Scholarships for 2021-2022

The UK Scholarships Application Cycle will continue as planned, until we learn otherwise. The majority of these programs have an application deadline of Fall 2020 and a program start date of Fall 2021. The Canvas site is full of resources and information beyond what is found here on ONSF's pages, as well as self-guided reflection and essay writing exercises.

All Other Scholarships & Fellowships

Here at ONSF, we will aim to continue providing opportunities to apply for national scholarship and fellowship programs. With this in mind, please feel free to continue exploring the program pages found here on the ONSF website. Advising appointments are available via Bluejeans or by phone. We encourage all students, first-years through seniors, graduate and professional, to make an appointment or email us if you have any questions or concerns. ONSF will continue to offer virtual info sessions through the remainder of the semester. See below.
