Meet Our Peer Advisors...
Hi! My name is Nico, and I am a junior majoring in Biology with the intention of attending medical school after graduation. I am also minoring in Medical Anthropology due to my interest in learning about different cultures and societies from around the globe. On campus, I am a penpal through K-Grams and am also involved in oSTEM. During my spare time, I can be found drawing or doing Zumba! Please do not hesitate to come and visit me during my office hours to talk about the different Biology majors, course planning, the pre-health track, or to just have some tea and chitchat.
Hello! My name is Maxwell, and I’m a senior majoring in Biology, Health, and Society and minoring in International Studies. I’m interested in the cellular and molecular causes of chronic diseases and its burden on global health. I’ve been involved in a lab studying the molecular genetics of the retrovirus HIV-1 in addition to a community health research program overseas. On campus, I volunteer at the University Hospital and I’m a member of the African Student Association. Off campus, I provide HIV test/prevention counseling and enjoy cooking. Feel free to visit me during my peer advising hours to talk about research, course planning, or majors in the biology program; I would be happy to meet with you!
