About
Ray Stewart was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Before studying at Michigan, he completed an undergraduate degree in sociology at Truman State University. Motivated by his own life experiences and intersectional identities, Ray is passionate about justice and equity in academia. During his time at Truman, Ray was active in campus efforts to foster diversity and inclusion. Those efforts included serving as the program assistant in the Center for Diversity and Inclusion where he created and collaborated campus programming that centered intersectional experiences and identities. At NCID, Ray is a graduate student working with the publications team.
