About
Leti is a first-year masters's student in higher education with a concentration in diversity and social justice. Leti is a first-generation low-income Latina student who was born and raised in Carpinteria, California, a small beach town near Santa Barbara. At the University of California-Irvine (UCI), she volunteered and worked in various resource centers that supported different student groups on campus. In the future, Leti sees herself working alongside college students hope to work with college students or with preK-12 educational policy.
Leti began to appreciate and value research through her minor in Chicano/Latino studies where she was exposed to literature that was able to name and validate her experiences. This has led to her current role in NCID where Leti is working on a project focused on the experiences of scholars of color.

Qualitative or quantitative?
Honestly, I do not have much experience in research but I definitely prefer reading than numbers.
Where can we find you on a Saturday afternoon?
I enjoy going to different cafes for the caffeine and aesthetics.
What's a random fact about you?
I will often mention a K-POP group, BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) as a loving group that indirectly supported me in finishing undergrad.
