Anchal Malh is a first-generation college student from New York City pursuing a bachelor's of science in gender & health in LSA and will be pursuing her master's of science in environmental health sciences at U-M's School of Public Health starting this fall. In her career, she hopes to study how pollution from mass transportation in NYC has impacted the health of pregnant persons who use subways and buses as a means of transportation. She is a senior editor at Michigan in Color (MiC) and is the co-external relations chair at the American Medical Women's Association (AMWA). Anchal is also a Kessler Scholar at U-M and a 2019 recipient of the New York Times College Scholarship.
During her time with NCID, she will be working on managing the websites and webpages for Spark and Currents, creating and maintaining a digital library of all published content, and assisting with the dissemination of published content via social media.
