About
Relius Johnson is currently the assistant director of multicultural affairs at the University of Texas at Arlington. He is an alumnus of Texas A&M University-Commerce, University of Central Arkansas, and Louisiana State University. He is currently working on his PhD at Louisiana State University. His dissertation looks at University climates centered around the Black Lives Matter movement on college campuses. Prior to him coming to UTA he worked at Louisiana State University and University of Central Arkansas. He strives to engage as an agent of positive social change by acknowledging, activating, and self-interrogating the complexities of one’s identities, experiences, privileges, and ideologies. His research interests are affects/effects of student movements/activism on college campuses and nationwide and the influence of student involvement on and underrepresented student’s college experiences.
