Luz Garcini is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychology at Rice University. She obtained her PhD in clinical psychology with specialization in behavioral medicine from the San Diego State University (SDSU) / University of California, San Diego joint doctoral program, along with a master of public health in epidemiology from the SDSU Graduate School of Public Health. Her research focuses primarily on informing the health needs of hidden or hard-to-reach populations, including undocumented Latino immigrants. Additionally, she is invested in the development of culture- and context-sensitive methodology and assessments for hidden and/or hard-to-reach populations. She is originally from Mexico.
