Current Work:
Dr. Cox’s most recent work is a collaborative project investigating diversity beliefs, processes, and actions in corporate America. The findings of this research extend previous scholarship on the principle-policy gap, highlighting a newly-coined concept—the principle-practice gap—which shows the ways in which people express support for the ideals of diversity yet often fail to take concrete action to further organizational goals for diversity and inclusion. Dr. Cox also continues his work investigating the racial identities, racial ideologies, and experiences of college students of color.
