Current Work:
The overarching theme of Dr. Haeger's research interests is exploring equity issues in higher education. Her dissertation was focused on issues of advantage and disadvantage for students with learning disabilities, specifically exploring issues of college access and persistence for students with disabilities at community colleges and four-year institutions.
She also has written a qualitative paper focused on persistence in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields for minority, low-income, and first-generation students. She is currently using LSSSE data to explore issues of race, gender, and sexual orientation in law school experiences.
In addition, she is using NSSE data to conduct research on the ways that students use technology and social media in college and how these uses differ by race, class, and gender.
