About
Dominique Thomas was a 2018-2020 scholarship-to-practice fellow at the National Center for Institutional Diversity. His research interests are in the experiences of African American college students. Specifically, he is interested in how African American college students experience the campus racial climate as a reproduction of institutional, cultural, and individual racism. He recently won the SCRA Best Dissertation on a Topic Relevant to Community Psychology Award for his dissertation work creating a racial climate measure specifically for African American college students. He is co-editing a forthcoming special issue of Community Psychology in Global Perspective focused on Black Lives Matter.
Current Work:
Dominique Thomas teaches Introduction to General Psychology and Introduction to African American Psychology. He is currently working on manuscripts based on his master's thesis and dissertation respectively.
