David's research interests sit at the nexus of curriculum theory and Black liberatory thought. His dissertation work entitled, "In the Wake of Our Womanist Foremothers: Resistance as Signif(y)er Among Self-Identified Womanist Scholars in Higher Education," investigated the ways self-identified Womanist scholars who are faculty members in four-year postsecondary institutions signify resistance in their curriculum and pedagogy.
