Dr. Howard is a professor in the department of psychological and brain sciences, an associated faculty member of the Diversity Science Research Cluster, an affiliated professor in the department of sociology, an affiliated professor in the Africana studies program, and a PPRI Professor and Fellow in the Public Policy Research Institute, all in the College of Liberal Arts at Texas A&M University, College Station.
His Bachelor’s Degree in Economics is from the University of Michigan's College of Literature, Sciences, and Arts in 1987 and a Ph.D. in Policy Development and Program Evaluation at Vanderbilt University Peabody College of Education and Human Development in 1992. He completed two-year postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan School of Public Health and School of Social Work as a Paul Cornely Postdoctoral Scholar and Ford Foundation / Rockefeller Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in 1994.
