Dana Murphy studies African American literature and culture, with particular investments in Black feminisms. Her research has received support from the American Philosophical Society's John Hope Franklin Dissertation Fellowship (2017-18) and the Woodrow Wilson Dissertation Fellowship in Women's Studies (2017).
