Senior Learning Experience Designer at the University of Michigan
About
Chelsea is a Senior Learning Experience Designer with the Center for Academic Innovation at the University of Michigan. She completed her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on curriculum theory at the University of Toledo. As an Assistant Professor at Concordia University Chicago, Chelsea taught courses focusing on themes of social justice education, curriculum reconceptualization, multicultural education, culturally relevant teaching, and culturally sustaining pedagogy. Chelsea's research interests include developing processes for equitable and inclusive curricula and the intersections of the arts, curriculum design, and social justice.
Current Work:
Currently, Chelsea is exploring the equitable and inclusive design of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Additionally, she is conducting design-based action research to explore the effectiveness of utilizing a framework for equitable and inclusive design during the development and design of MOOCs.
