Instructional Designer II of Digital Learning and Doctoral Candidate in Higher Education at the University of Arizona

Celeste serves as an Instructional Designer for Digital Learning at the University of Arizona, where she combines her sociological training and over a decade of teaching at the college level to support online course design. She is honored to be a 2020-21 recipient of the Dr. Maria Teresa Velez Diversity Leadership Scholarship and the 2020 Hans. O Mauksch Award for Distinguished Contributions to Undergraduate Sociology recipient.
Current Work:
Celeste's interests broadly include race, gender, sexuality and intersectionality, particularly as they pertain to educational access and equity. Her dissertation explores the experiences of sociology faculty who identify as part of a marginalized group and how they teach about privilege and inequality.
