Dr. Annahita Ball is an associate professor within the School of Social Work at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. Her research focuses on advancing educational justice through meaningful family engagement in schools, effective school-based social service delivery, and inclusive school environments. Her recent projects include exploring various aspects of family engagement and empowerment in schools, including parent organizing for educational reform and transformative social-emotional learning.
Current Work:
Dr. Ball's current projects investigate the potential of school-based intergroup dialogue and transformative social-emotional learning for enhancing youths' self-awareness, social awareness, and intergroup relationships. She also is investigating school social workers' engagement in the educational justice movement, both theoretically and professionally.
