About
Dr. Lombardi studies college and career readiness and higher education experiences of underrepresented groups, particularly students with disabilities, aspiring first generation college students, and student athletes. She focuses on survey design methods and has experience in the development, field-testing, and initial validation of several measures intended for secondary and postsecondary students and college faculty. Previously, Dr. Lombardi was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Oregon’s College of Education. She earned her doctorate from the University of Oregon in special education, and she holds an MA in education and a BA in English literature from the University of California, Berkeley.
Current Work:
Currently, Dr. Lombardi is working on research at the postsecondary and secondary levels. Within postsecondary education, she's working on a literature coding study on postsecondary education and disability. She's also focusing on college students with disability and social supports. Within secondary education, Dr. Lombardi is interested in applying multi-tiered systems of support in high schools that emphasize college and career readiness.
