Adrian H. Huerta, PhD, is a tenure-track faculty member in the Pullias Center for Higher Education located in the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California. He studies boys and men of color, college access and equity, and gang-associated youth in k-16 educational pipeline. His publications appear in Boyhood Studies, Education & Urban Society, Teachers College Record, Urban Education, Urban Review, and other outlets. Dr. Huerta’s research has been funded by ECMC Foundation, Center for Research on College to Workforce Transitions, Institute for Research on Poverty, and Volunteers for America. He earned his PhD in education from UCLA and was a past recipient of the AERA Minority Dissertation Fellowship (2015-2016).
