About
Michael R. Williams, EdD, is a core faculty member in the George Henderson department of human relations at the University of Oklahoma and serves as the faculty in residence for NASPA Men & Masculinity Knowledge Community. In his current position, he facilitates many multidisciplinary critical discussions with graduate students on the layered and intersections of inclusive leadership dynamics in various organizational structures. Michael has intertwined holistic student development with culturally revitalizing pedagogy to establish an interactive student atmosphere. Michael understands that his classroom is a community of active minds that should partake in the learning process and continuously build to the current body of knowledge.
Current Work:
Dr. Williams' research centers digital identity development; Hip-Hip pedagogical practices; male
identities and masculinity; and inclusive organizational practices through qualitative analysis. More specifically, my work focuses on pressing issues related to Black male masculinity development, Twitter's linguistic usage, and the cultivation of symbols through generational evolution.
