This Winter semester, 20 students (none of them Greek) of the Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan studied contemporary Greece in the classroom and on location. The International Economic Development Program of the School focused on major issues of Greek economy and policy which the Michigan students and their faculty advisors had the opportunity to discuss with politicians, professionals, diplomats, lay people, refugees, and many others. The web site of their trip, and especially the blog of their several meetings, provides a wonderful record of their systematic study of today’s Greece: https://sites.google.com/a/umich.edu/iedp2017/home
