About
Roger C. Johnson founded the law firm of Koonz, McKenney, Johnson, DePaolis& Lightfoot inSeptember of 1979. He is a graduateof the University of Michiganand the National Law Centerof George Washington University, receiving his Juris Doctor degree in 1977. During 1977 and1978, he was law clerk to the Honorable George H. Revercomb.
Mr. Johnson handles serious injury cases of all sorts. During his career, he has obtained someof the largest verdicts and settlements in Washington, D.C. Following several trials, Mr.Johnson was featured in a front-page article in the Style section of The Washington Postentitled "The Man Who Makes Them Pay." In March of 2006, Mr. Johnson was inducted intothe International Society of Barristers. In December of 2013, he was again recognized byWashingtonian Magazine as one of the area's "top 1%" of personal injury lawyers. He wasalso named one of "America's Best Lawyers" for 2007-2014.
In addition to his professional responsibilities as an attorney, Mr. Johnson is currently aDirectorof United Bank of Virginia,a regional bank with more than 130 full service offices in theMid- Atlantic area. He has been active in the Big Brothers of Washington, D.C. and is a past"Big Brother of the Year." He has coached baseball in the Capitol City Little League and girls' basketball in Montgomery County, Maryland. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife,Michigan graduate Carolyn McKenney. They have three children.
