Sharae Franklin was recently featured on the website of the University of Michigan's Office of Enrollment Management. Entering her third year in MCSP, Sharae has always been interested in learning about diversity--about other people and their cultures. From starting a diversity group in high school, to being a Peer Advisor on MCSP's Intergroup Relations Council (IRC), Sharae constantly finds opportunities to learn about different people, and to teach others about diversity and social justice through IRC dialogues. Sharae coordinated MCSP service and educational trips to Detroit, participated in a service learning trip to India, and planned the Tri-Campus Community Engagement Summit between the Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint campuses. Her impressive work has been recognized by U-M's Division of Student Life, which honored her as a "Michigan Difference Student Leader." MCSP is extremely proud of all of Sharae's accomplishments, and is grateful for her commitment to social justice and diversity education. Congratulations, Sharae!
