Every semester MCSP, in conjunction with the Ann Arbor District Library holds a film and discussion series featuring movies focusing on various social justice issues.

This semester there are three films (all films are from 6:00pm - 8:30pm in the Multipurpose Room of the Downtown Library

The Island President - Thursday, September 19th

After bringing democracy to his country, President Mohamed Nasheed of the Maldives, the lowest-lying country in the world, takes up the fight to keep his homeland from disappearing under the sea.

Where Soldiers Come From - Tuesday, October 22nd 

A documentary that chronicles four years in the lives of childhood friends as they enter a faraway war.

We Can't Eat Gold

Living off the lnd, Alaska Natives fight to protect the world's biggest salmon runs from the impacts of the worlds biggest proposed gold mine, the Pebble Mine.
