About
Most of my work belongs to the relatively new field of representation stability. This subject studies large algebraic structures (such as infinite variable polynomial rings) or asymptotic algebraic structures (often encoded as representations of combinatorial categories), and uses properties of these structures to establish stability properties of objects of interest. There are a great variety of methods used, including representation theory, commutative algebra, algebraic geometry, combinatorics, and category theory. I also do some unrelated work on arithmetic geometry and number theory.
