MCAIM Graduate Seminar Seminar

Black Hole Information and Mirror Symmetry
Friday, October 8, 2021
4:00-5:00 PM
2866 East Hall Map
We explore how an understanding of Black Hole Information through the perspective of Reflection Symmetry prescription gives rise to a natural interpretation of quantum extremal surface. A comparison of quantum information-theoretic tools in the context of quantum entanglement entropy, with the classical setting (Shannon entropy), will be drawn in order to understand Ryu-Takayanagi prescription and it applications to Holography.
