Zeta zeros in long and short intervals
Monday, October 11, 2021
3:00-4:00 PM
4088 East Hall Map
The zeros of the Riemann zeta function are of great interest to number theorists due to their connection to the prime numbers. I will discuss various properties which are known and conjectured about these zeros. In particular, I will focus on the statistical properties of the vertical distribution of these zeros, which are conjectured to mirror the statistics of the eigenvalues of random unitary matrices.
