Stronger Bogomolov-Gieseker inequality via tilt stability
Wednesday, February 3, 2021
4:00-5:00 PM
Zoom Off Campus Location
I will explain how to obtain the stronger forms of the Bogomolov-Gieseker inequality for certain classes of varieties. This in particular implies the existence of Bridgeland stability conditions on Calabi-Yau threefolds obtained as double/triple covers of the projective space. The main technical tool is the theory of tilt-stability conditions on the derived categories. Speaker(s): Naoki Koseki (University of Edinburgh)
