FRG Lecture Series: 3d Gauge Theory & Quantum K-Theory Correspondence (Note for different time and place)

The 2d gauged linear sigma model offers a model for quantum cohomology on Kahler manifolds. In these lectures I introduce certain 3d gauge theories and demonstrate that they realize a model for Givental's permutation equivariant quantum K-theory on Kahler manifolds. I explain that in this setup the K-theoretic Givental's I function is encoded in suitable gauge theory partition functions. In this gauge theory/quantum K-theory correspondence we analyze the dictionary between the gauge theory deformations and the parameters in quantum K-theory. Then we discuss some applications such as integral BPS invariants, 3d chiral rings, and 3d mirror symmetry, which relate to questions in enumerative geometry. Speaker(s): Hans Jockers (Bonn)
