Student Algebraic Geometry: Okounkov Body

Volume is an asymptotic measure of how many sections a line bundle has. By constructing a convex subset in R^n called the Okounkov body, one gains information on divisors and their volumes. I will introduce the volume of divisors and the construction of Okounkov bodies, as well as their properties and applications.
