Anna Brosowsky
Tuesday, February 21, 2023
3:00-4:00 PM
3866 East Hall Map
This will be an interactive workshop where we go over the basics of how to use the computer algebra system Macaulay2. No prior experience in programming is necessary! We will start from the beginning, with topics like defining a ring or creating a function, and we will work up through introducing some packages with more advanced features that may be useful in your research.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops to follow along! You can use either the web version ( https://www.unimelb-macaulay2.cloud.edu.au/ ) or download it yourself from the Macaulay2 website ( http://www2.macaulay2.com/Macaulay2/Downloads/ ). If installing, please do so in advance of the workshop, and contact Anna (annabro) or Swaraj (swarajsp) if you need help.
