Why did you want to become an SA? I wanted to become a SA because I know the honest guidance I can provide to students will make their college experiences much more positive. In my first few weeks of college, it was hard navigating a campus I’ve never been to, in a new state knowing very few people and at a predominately white institution. My SAs made me feel more welcomed and empathized with our unique situation of being first-year students in a racial and political pandemic. Being an SA also keeps me connected to this amazing art community!

What hopes do you have for the upcoming year? I hope we gain a sense of normalcy in the upcoming year. I’m also excited to co-lead my club since I’m passionate about it, and to come back to campus!

Is there anything you'd like to say to future LSWA students? Don’t stress on little things and always be open-minded.
