Why did you want to become an SA? Everybody in this community is so creative, and that was something that I really valued in my first year of college. It helped me meet people who were interested in the same things I was and gave me new friends that I could work through the transition to the university with! I wanted to be an SA to give back and help make freshman year a great experience for this year’s group of students.
What hopes do you have for the upcoming year? This year, I want to really experiment with the types of things I create, both inside and outside of classes! I’m also excited to meet new friends and help welcome in a new group of students to LSWA.
Is there anything you'd like to say to future LSWA students? Don’t be afraid to try new things! Talk to people even if you think you won’t have anything in common and take classes just because they seem interesting! Also, talk to your professors and other leaders inside and outside of the learning community—it seems like everyone is always working on some kind of cool project, and you might find yourself with new opportunities that you wouldn’t have had otherwise!
