Why did you want to become an RA? When I started my time here at the university I was nervous and I was having a really hard time adjusting to college life. I didn’t have someone I felt I could go to, to ask for help or guidance. However while in LHSP I found a host of people who were kind, and gentle and let me figure things out on my own while giving me the love and support that I needed. When I was considering my plans for my last years at UMich, my first thought was how can I give back that care and attention that I got in my first two years and what role would be best suited for doing this and then it clicked. For me being an RA has always been a life goal of mine since being here, but I’ve finally found my reason for doing so.

What hopes do you have for the upcoming year? In this next year I hope to be caring and gentle and giving everyone the space they need to come into their own. Some need more space than others, others need a guiding hand at times. My hope for the next year is to be what at least one student needs in their first year of college.

Is there anything you’d like to say to future LHSP students? Do not hesitate to reach out to me for anything at all, I might not have all the answers but I can at least point you in a direction that does!
