Why did you want to become an SA? I really enjoyed LSWA my freshman year and I wanted to continue to be part of the program. I probably wouldn't have continued my art hobbies otherwise, and I think I can help and inspire people who aren't doing art-related majors to continue their art and writing passions.
What hopes do you have for the upcoming year? I want to try new art mediums and finish a draft of a novel that's been in my head for years. I'm also super excited to be part of a really inclusive community (LSWA is the first place I've felt truly comfortable sharing my art!). Last but definitely not least, make a bunch of awesome friends :).
Is there anything you'd like to say to future LSWA students? Don't be afraid to share your art! It gets easier the more you do it, and as long as you're happy and enjoy what you've created, or even just the creative process, that's all that matters!
