On Saturday, October 6th, Fiction Writers Review and the University of Michigan's MFA Program in Creative Writing will celebrate Michigan's great writers and the state's enduring literary traditions by declaring Michigan " The State of the Book." They will do so by co-hosting a day-long series of public events in Rackham Auditorium showcasing the state's leading literary stars, as well as the next generation of Michigan writers.

Events include  a Book Fair, open from 10am until 7pm in Rackham Lobby, ongoing presentations and panels from 10am until 8:30pm in Rackham Auditorium, and a Keynote Conversation with novelist Charles Baxter and former Poet Laureate Philip Levine at 7pm. 
 
LHSP joins in the game:  At 10:30 am Saturday morning, Charles Baxter will visit LHSP for coffee and discussion, 1st floor, Alice Lloyd Hall, in the open area across from the Living Room. Do drop by!
