Alice Lloyd Hall is currently hosting Scholar in Residence Jonathan Man, a free-lance theater director based in London, UK, whose focus is on interculturalism in theater - in particular, Western and East Asian theater. He will be putting on two workshops this week in Alice Lloyd hall, as well as casting and directing a play on campus during his short stay (Oct 15-30) with us!
The two workshops are titled:
"Introduction to theater-making in the U.K.” (Wednesday, Oct 22, 6:45pm-9pm)
“Diaspora Theater, creatively blending East and West” (Thursday, Oct 23 6pm-9:30pm)
Both workshops will be held in the 1st Floor Lounge (Living Room)
Attached, please find Man's biography, a flyer that he created to advertise his workshops, as well as the casting call for the play he'll be directing. All building residents are welcome to attend, but, we know that there many of you, our LHSP students, have a love of theater! This would be a wonderful opportunity for you to learn about the art of theater, and more, from an artist in the field. (and a chance to act in a play!)
