The Journal is the signature publication of LHSP and showcases written pieces, including poetry, fiction and non-fiction, as well as photography and other art forms—the journal has even expanded into music in recent years! Students in this club will gain experience in evaluating writing from an editor’s perspective. They will learn to critically examine the writing of their peers as well as learn the software that is necessary to create a published work. This is achieved by participating in workshops (Adobe InDesign, Garage Band, Photoshop, etc.), visiting art exhibits and galleries, and attending poetry slams during the fall term. During winter term, students will read through submissions, and discuss and vote on selections for the journal.
