Marc Simmons is a founding principal at Front Inc based in New York, Associate Professor of the Practice at the MIT School of Architecture + Planning, Cambridge and the past Ventulett Chair in Architectureal Design at the Georgia Institute of Technology College of Design, Atlanta. He is a licensed architect in New York State and holds Bachelor degrees in Architecture and Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo. With 25 years of experience his specialist facade knowledge is built upon previous work at Foster + Partners, Meinhardt Facade Technology and Dewhurst Macfarlane & Partners. Marc is a recognized global leader in the design, analysis, procurement and implementation of innovative and high performance building facades. Select examples of Front's work include China Central Televison HQ by OMA, the Amazon Spheres by NBBJ, Grace Farms by SANAA, the Perez Art Museum by Herzog de Meuron, The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center by Renzo Piano Building Workshop, Shenzhen Energy Building by BIG, Guardian Art Center by Buro Ole Scheeren, and the Perelman Center for the Performing Arts by REX.
