With a new year in full swing, LSA is preparing for many exciting things, including a new building for students and a special event to celebrate it. The LSA Homewarming Party will take place on Friday, January 24, 2:00–4:00 p.m. in the new LSA Building, where students can enjoy an afternoon of food, giveaways, and festivities. The event is free and open to all LSA students.

The LSA Homewarming Party will highlight the building as the new home for LSA students — a central space on campus where students can connect with one another, study, work, and access programs and people who will support their success at LSA and beyond. Students are invited to explore all of the resources in the new space including the LSA Opportunity Hub, the LSA Transfer Student Center, LSA Scholarship Office, optiMize, LSA Student Government, the Okun Bomba Navigation Desk, and more.

LSA students who attend the event will get free swag like LSA laptop stickers, phone wallets, and more!

There will also be free comfort food, including mac ‘n’ cheese, vegan chili, cookies, a hot cocoa bar, and much more.

The two-story space features accessible ramps, gender-inclusive restrooms, and elevators, and the space faces the Thompson and South State bus stops so students have convenient entry points.

Below are the details. Hope to see you there!
