Detroit Free Press Features Robert Sellers on New Role as Chief Diversity Officer

Sellers began as a graduate student protesting racism on campus and is a faculty member in the Department of Psychology in addition to his new appointment.

"I'd like to tell you you won't be subject to racist attacks on this campus, but I can't," said Sellers. "But you do have the ability to overcome it. There are things we would like to do, but we can't do. I'm on your side. We might have different timetables, but I'm on your side."
